We needed a replacement engine and I saw Engineengineering and their website addressed most of my concerns about the viability of their product. After promising a 5 day turn around and indicating they had an identical engine in stock we sent them a total of £2500 to cover engine ,transport costs both ways and our return engine surcharge. After weeks of delay and excuses by Engineengineering no engine was sent and we cancelled the contract. To date we have had no money back from these people. We have taken legal steps to recover some of the money but with their track record we will have to take alternative action. I have amassed a lot of information on the two directors and am appealing for further information on them. One is a director of up to 11 companies registered at the same address and the assets of EEng are held by another Co.at this address. It appears that CCJs don't phase them so I must ratchet it up a little .I have collated over 20 negative comments and reviews from dissatisfied customers from the internet. Above all ,I want to WARN EVERYONE who may want a replacement engine in the future to read all reviews and experiences before making any sort of decision.Don't be taken in by the reviews on the EEng website as they are all +ve and are of questionable source. Mr Dieter Eicke ,you have made a great stand against these people and I wish to take it further ( by the way how has your replacement engine faired since installation ?) . I am appealing for anyone who can assist in information on EEng ,legal aspects of regaining lost money from these people , website design and basically anything that might help in showing the truth about this company. Companies associated with supplying replacement engines have had varied reviews in the past but there are some that produce a high quality and verifiable product. Others produce questionable and variable quality product and the Law in the 21st Centaury should have the power to respond to these. Unfortunately powers seem limited and the unscrupulous find ways of thwarting it. Any help will be most appreciated.

Bought a engine from them. poor quality, totally unfit for purpose. terrible customer service, I repeatedly asked for a refund, as i had never had the engine in my possession (i didn't sign for it) That was in June. I have been through the small claims court in Scotland and in went in my favor, but enforcing this is another story. I have looked them up again on companies house and Engine engineering trade ltd had been dissolved last month. Very frustrating, can't see me getting my £1500 back now.

After 2 years of trying to get £500 engine surcharge back and having to replace a head gasket on a replacement engine from engine engineering and repeatedly being told it would be dealt with, to now be told the matter has been closed. We now give in, over to trading standards and Facebook to solve. VERY DISAPPOINTED!

My experience started in October 2014 when I chose to use engine engineering to fix my engine. It was promptly picked up from my local garage and it went downhill from there, Im sure we all had the same issues at this point. I got it back in January 2015, and all was well until the noise and leaks started so in November 2015 it went back to them under their 12 month warranty. Needless to say much of the same happened again excuses and fob offs and dare I say lies everytime they were contacted. It is now February 2016 and still no engine. BBC Scottish news reported that the company is under Multi Agency investigations and that two men were arrested and firearms luxury cars company records and computers were seized. So it doesn't look like im going to see my engine for a while.

Wow - why didn't I find this before :( :( I ordered a 2.0l Insignia engine from them 21/10. Agreed delivery 28 or 29/10. After paying them I've heard nothing despite promise on their website and job confirmation emails that they "keep their customers informed". 4 calls and no call backs as promised. 5th call I'm told the engine they had was not up to their standard and they are waiting to source another. I told them I cannot wait as the car is sat on a ramp in Vauxhall ready for the new one so please refund me as per the consumer regulations act. They've refused saying that they already have done work so will not refund. So I'm £2400 out of pocket, a car stuck on the ramps racking up storage charges by the day and none the wiser on when I can expect a refund or an engine. I've reported them to Trading Standards, my solicitors and credit card company and am now doing my best to spread the word as far as I can! These people appear to be con-artists and do not communicate or reply and have no regard for consumer regulations! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! I hope that anyone who has experienced this with them - please report it to Trading Standards in the UK and Watchdog etc if you can. They need to be stopped. I'm hoping my credit card company will refund my money for me. Has anyone else had joy going down that route? Thanks you Dieter for spreading the word!
